Signature Pendant 50 is a significantly larger version of the Signature collection's very first design, Pendant 36. The lamp can be used alone or in a group in the home or public environment together with the other lamps in the series. The lamp is handmade with elegant geometric design and natural, sustainable Finnish birch plywood. It provides warmth and creates a unique shadow play through the structure.

It is assembled through traditional Finnish shingles work without using any screws or glue. Modern water cutting technology creates geometrically cut parts without dark edges, which happens when using a laser cutter. Pilke is a combination of Finnish handcraft technique and ultra-modern computer geometry. The composition of parts enables luminaries that are constructed completely without glue or screws – only wood.

Tuukka Halonen is the creator of the original Pilke Signature Collection. He studied at the Royal College of Art in London and worked several years for Habitat. After returning to Finland in 2005 he started his own design studio with the magic plywood touch.
