We chose carefully considered, discreet architectural lighting teamed with beautiful design led feature lights
Our brief at new estuary project, Riverhayes, was to develop a lighting scheme that reflected the bespoke nature of this stunning new home. Working alongside the client and BARC Architects we chose carefully considered, discreet architectural lighting teamed with beautiful design led feature lights. Brands used included Moooi, Studio Italia and Foscarini.
The kitchen lighting reflects the minimal nature of the kitchen. We used high quality Orluna LED recessed lights, sparingly, and positioned not only where light was needed but also so that they are justified with the wall cabinets. This technique is offset using Foscarini Aplomb handmade concrete pendant lights over the island. These elegant lights coordinate with the ceramic and marble surfaces to dramatic effect.
External lighting was particularly important
External lighting was particularly important. With feature brick detail and warm cedar cladding the opportunity to express these materials was hard to resist. The results speak for themselves!
