Originally built in the 17th century
Originally built in the 17th century with substantial re-building in the 18th century, this extensive manor house near Kingsbridge has been sympathetically renovated and updated both internally and externally to create a beautiful home with views across the South Ham.
A Lighting scheme which highlights the period
Amos Lighting + Home were approached by the architect to collaborate in the creation of a striking lighting scheme which would emphasise the architecture, materials and most importantly the client’s personality. Particular attention was crucial in spaces such as the swimming pool where the demand for decorative elegance in the lighting needed to be married with strict safety regulations, and in the cinema room where the lighting scheme needed to be visually striking, dramatically subdued for movie night but also bright enough when needed. Each bedroom and en-suite has its own theme highlighted through the interior design and careful selection of decorative lighting in most areas, including in a hidden doorway. The architect had designed numerous feature storage and shelf locations into which we have included bespoke concealed, dimmable LED. This not only provides localised feature lighting but integrates into the overall lighting scheme resulting in a beautifully lit and welcoming home.
