Traditional Finnish shingle work re-mastered by today’s computer technology enables assembly without using any glue or screws. Handcrafted in Finland.

Modern water cutting technology creates geometrically cut parts without dark edges, which happens when using a laser cutter. Pilke is a combination of Finnish handcraft technique and ultra-modern computer geometry. The composition of parts enables luminaries that are constructed completely without glue or screws – only wood.

Tuukka Halonen is the creator of the original Pilke Signature Collection. He studied at the Royal College of Art in London and worked several years for Habitat. After returning to Finland in 2005 he started his own design studio with the magic plywood touch.
